First, I would like to say that I love this cover, it drew me into this book. Luce was not your average girl, she been to numerous doctors and psychologists about her condition. The fact that she saw "shadows" from a very early age was a problem that her parents sought out help for. She was enrolled to Sword & Cross as a last resort, because of a recent accident involved with a boy who died and she couldn't tell anyone how. As soon as she thinks that going to this school everything might be normal and no one will look at her indifferent because they are there for some crime or another, she sees Daniel and immediately is drawn to him only he doesn't share the same affection towards her, at first. I liked the beginning of this book, towards the end for me it was rushed and had too many inconsistencies. Also Luce, as a character is absolutely weak, and naive. She lets everyone tell her what to do and goes along with it. She doesn't demand anyone to tell her whats going on, especially about who she is. I hope the next book will better, because I am curious to have my questions answered and want to see where this leads. I hope I am not disappointed.
